Exchange Rates
The exchange rates published are the “Buy TT” rates from our bank (Westpac NZ), as these are the relevant rates for buying a foreign currency. Note that there is a discrepancy between this rate and the “Sell TT” rate, which is often mistakenly quoted by some agents.
This rate is valid for a period of 7 days from the time the invoice is sent out.
Please Note: There is small incremental buffer included to counter any fluctuations within the time period before payment is made.

The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is amongst the best one day hikes in the world and is rated the #1 one day hike in New Zealand! A fixture in our very popular Hike & Drive package, the Crossing is a 6-8 hour hike with some challenging climbs, but breathtaking views.
We are now working with a new shuttle operator in the region, offering our clients more choice of departures with ample time to get through comfortably, while taking advantage of good weather.
Tongariro Crossing Shuttles offer 5 departures daily, departing from National Park Village. National Park is located just 60 minutes’ drive from Taupo and 30 minutes’ drive from Turangi, Ohakune and Taumarunui.
Departure times from National Park Village: 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am
Return times: 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm
Tongariro Crossing Shuttles also operate one departure and return shuttle on Christmas Day (25 Dec).
This range gives our clients the ultimate flexibility to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing at their own pace.
